I'm amazed at how much of a difference a community like this makes. I started learning Perl in Antarctica, without any internet access, only a copy of 'Programming Perl' and it was a slow process, all by myself. Just being able to look at questions other people have asked really makes life easier. Tutorials and stuff like that are also very useful. -- Kevin O'Rourke
