It is correct yes, because otherwise it wouldn't run correctly locally. But what about whne i upload it to the remote server? if server had those 2 files 500 and 404 the site would still had trouble run, correct? It would still die instanlty? But why? How am i gonna proceed make it run?

    Not true. When run as CGI, it has other obligations to meet. I said that already.

    if server had those 2 files 500 and 404 the site would still had trouble run, correct?

    Yes, it won't help you at all. That's why I said you could ignore them.

      But Apche i do use locally and apache is also runnign in the remote server. Iam not trying it only as 'perl -c index.pl' to tell me its ok, but i run it in broswer, the same thign i expect from the remote server.

      So ikegami, sinc those 2 files are not the real problem what is your theory as to why the script dies instantly without producing a normal perl error? why Cgi::Carp doestn give us details for the error? does the program execution even reach the sue statements? What do you think? Support dont answer my mails cause iam in there for free and i dont know what else to think.
        It seems that your script isn't getting executed as a Perl script (assuming the script you show is the one being executed) or isn't getting executed as a CGI script. I have no idea why.
      Just tried this script now:
      #!/usr/bin/perl -w use strict; use CGI::Carp qw/fatalsToBrowser/; use CGI qw/:standard/; #======OK, $data set up. Now print header, start_html and JavaScript s +tuff====== print header(); print start_html(); print "hello niko";
      still same erroe message. what could possibly be the problem? this is getting on my nerves.

        Except possibly for the path to Perl, that's fine if run as a CGI script.
