How to install XML::Parser (missing expat.h)?

StarNamer has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

I'm trying to install XML::Parser using cpan on Debian/NSLU2. It complains about missing 'expat.h'. I've installed the expat package; there doesn't seem to be an expat-devel package. I've tried the expat.h (and expat_external.h) from the expat SourceFore site without success.

Has anyone got any hints how to install this?
