It both fascinates and baffles me that you seem to believe that it is your place to assess the validity of how people spend their time
And to the others reading this thread, let me make this clear: educated_foo's tactics don't get anything useful done.
I "fancy myself" someone who has an opinion about what makes Perl useful, and how various actions make it more or less useful. You and Chromatic happen to have a different opinion. Do and say whatever you want, and I'll continue to speak up when I think that what you're doing is pointless or counterproductive.
