Before i try the directive solution with mod_rewrite, is there any other perhaps simpler way that will allow me to do the smae thing, which is "what ever html page the user requests gets to load"?

    Yes, of course there's a simpler way. You just...oh no, wait, this involves pulling your head out of your arse, so it won't work for you. Sorry about that.
      My head is fine. Take your advise and shove it up to your source of solutions.
