wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:
Hi all, I built a new system with encrypted home directories to discover that Archive::Tar will fail on extraction of a test file. An Ubuntu bug 615001 has been fixed but not exactly what was fixed. The bug really doesn't say much of anything there. I'm compiling Perl as a normal non-privileged user. Curious if Archive::Tar does something unusual that would cause it to fail to see my home directory as anything other than a normal dir. Any thoughts?
