You could search through the perldelta's if you want to know when this feature was added.

I quickly checked with perldeltas - every perl*delta in one file, and that information isn't listed ; perldeltas just dont include it; its not included in either.

    Why should it? it's not a feature of but of the cpan script delivered by App::Cpan. Which, like I was mentioning earlier, also doesn't have something about -j in the changelog.

    update: s/App::cpan/App::Cpan/ (although the linked cpan search is case insensitive, but anonymous monk complained)
