in thread H.O.P && aXML

This is getting ridiculous. You constantly try to play a victim and accuse others to be unfair, while almost everybody else is arguing technically and giving you advices.

XP doesn't mean much in the real world, and I can tell you from my experience, Corion is one of the persons you can always discuss with without him getting personal or unfair or whatever you think he is. In real life and here at the monastery.

I ask you a second time (I didn't get an answer yet): What do you expect? How do you think all the other ideas and tools and modules were built? "Hey, I have that revolutionary idea, all others suck, I have no time to show a comparison and didn't study computer science, so please just believe me"?

    Hey I'm not trying to play anything, I'm just fighting my corner. I didn't start this fight, but I'm not going to let people play on the gaps in my knowledge and try to bamboozle me with big sounding words when they have clearly not actually looked at my system at all. In other words I won't be fobbed off by a bunch of lazy know it all's who would rather play a 1 up-manship game of words than actually engage their minds for a moment on a subject which is outside of their comfortable little box.

    I guess that's why he's a high worshipful master perl saint then huh?

    I don't know, I just came here to find out if anyone could help improve what I am working on, but all they seem to want to do is to tell me that I should basically just use all the existing tools like a good little sheeple monk.

    How do you think all the other ideas and tools and modules were built?

    People put in years of work, lots of late nights and several keyboards, just like I have done.

    "Hey, I have that revolutionary idea, all others suck,

    At what point did I say that all others suck? I didn't say any such thing! I said the templating systems like TT2 remind me of COBOL, but that is hardly the same thing as saying all other ideas suck... I mean come on, if I really thought all of the modules on CPAN sucked, why the hell would I want to use Perl at all????

    I have no time to show a comparison and didn't study computer science, so please just believe me"?

    I said I haven't had time to make a comparison, I didn't say I will never find the time, or that I won't divert even more time than I already have learning about the systems which appear rather skitzophrenic to me so that I can do said comparisons. Earlier I posted a comparison of a solution in aXML which is similar to one of the examples in H.O.P, and apparently that was wrong of me as well... damned if you do... damned if you don't it seems.

    Besides, I'm only asking for the tiny mustard seed of belief which is needed for someone to click the link I gave to the latest version, and have a look... It's not much to ask, but clearly the lazyitis gene of your average perl programmer (myself included), makes such a thing a monumentous task of effort and it's easier to carry on with the word games instead.
