Output : 1000 4 20 24 46 111 119 122 1000

What's going on here then?

    Those are the IDs of the groups you belong to (the first is the primary group).  See $(

    See   perldoc -v $(   or  $REAL_GROUP_ID in perlvar. (Update: Oops, didn't see Eliya's link.)
