in thread the proper way of barcode rendering/printing

Barcodes are not plaintext
but they can be. im sure that i can send a plaintext as a chain of command to the printer. and the printer makes out of it a barcode. but im not sure how this commandline should look like.

4sure => havent thought about the background ink saving feature. sounds good to me ;-) probably im able to disable it :-D

$perlig =~ s/pec/cep/g if 'errors expected';

    You are talking about postscript. Perhaps you can create a Postscript page that has the drawing commands to have the barcode, and send it to your printer?

[erix]: I'm waiting for that zipfile-reading to show up in DBD::SQLite :)

[Corion]: erix: I misinterpreted that. It only allows to read a zipfile like a table, not reading a database from a zipfile :-(
