mojolicious noob... where is my mason

Anonymous Monk has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

So I was hoping to find a mason plugin or rendering mods for mojo.. but everything mason for mojolicious has disappeared. Perhaps there's a setting I missed that switches the rendering to mason easily, I haven't found that yet: if there is one let me know. Otherwise my questions are as follows:

A_1.) Where did go? ... A_2.) Why?

I found copious references to within github... but cpan, annocpan, etc seems to have kicked that lib out. B.) can CPAN libs be removed without a trace?

Blah, How am I supposed to fall in love with mojo without mason? :(

It seems that those seeking Mojolicious wisdom are best served on its mailing list. Here is a link to a discussion about Mason that took place on the list earlier in the year. From the discussion I gather that github is where you'll have to go to get the distribution for Mason integration, but if that's the case you ought to be able to unpack it, make, make test, and make install.

You may want to ask your question directly to that list rather than just reading over an old post. People get their Mojolicious answers within minutes there, sometimes from Sebastian himself.

On Github you may find the Mason renderer for mojolicious at the address that follows. One word of advice: read the readme file. The Readme has examples on how to get started. I use this currently (and it works for me):

I couldn't find the mason2renderer in CPAN. I do not know why it's not in CPAN, i mean most other Plugins are there (just search CPAN for mojox or mojolicious::plugins).
