If i find a critical flaw in my companies flagship product, i
  • do the Microsoft dance and hope nobody will ever find out
  • do the Sony dance, pull the plug for two solid months and hope the customers wont notice
  • do the Seagate dance, release some half-arsed update and hope it wont kill the customers data
  • do the IRC dance, flamewar everyone off the channel and hope nobody will blame me for the real problem
  • do the Perlmonks dance, write a workaround Acme:: module and hope nobody else will ever use it
Don't use '#ff0000':
use Acme::AutoColor; my $redcolor = RED();
All colors subject to change without notice.

[ambrus]: So that, or if you really want something agnostic to the loop, then use curl multi. Its interface is quite reasonable (unless you use an old version),
[ambrus]: though it's very C-like (serious use of varargs so easy to pass the wrong type), and there are some minor problems (busy loop because it doesn't use the same timer as your event loop, so you have to artificially delay timer callbacks by a small amount).
