I think XP should be doled out only for contributions to this site, if someone writes a book well and good, but if they don't contribute here what use is it to us as Perl Monks?

      Certainly.

      XP is not a measure of what a Monk knows about Perl, but rather an indicator of ones progress through the monastery.

      The experience is in the journey, not the destination.
