Done playing army man, now back to looking for work.
First encounter with Perl: 2010, in theoretical chemistry, to avoid using awk and sed (although I did not code much, only a couple of print instructions in pre-existing code).
First real Perl challenge: statistical text analysis. Analyzing large chunks of English text from really old to modern).
Currently doing the O'reilly Perl certification in hopes of finding a job after the army.
