I don't understand. The blog would be completely affiliated with Perlmonks. Also, just because this is Perlmonks doesn't mean everything we use is Perl. Think about it. Our markup is HTML, Javascript on our profiles, and I can almost guarantee this whole site wasn't written in Perl.

Your insight into what languages comprise this site is interesting.

But as has already been pointed out to you, there is, where people loosely associated with Perl who want to blog can blog. There also is for aggregating other Perl-people-related blogs. I don't see any value in adding yet another blogging platform here, especially seeing that even has to fight off spammers.

I understand. But are you saying that I am wrong about the sites makeup?

About 99% of this site are written in Perl and SQL, driving Apache+mod_perl, which are written in C resp. XS. There is a tiny bit of Javascript, but I doubt that it's visible to the outside.
