citrus perl setting proxy and setting mingw32

diamondsandperls has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

I have tried and tried to set citrus gcc and no luck i have tried with citrus utils and nothing tried manually downloading. I am not sure how to setup proxy settings using citrus perl i have set the global environment variable on my machine but all the instances of mingw32 etc that i have installed nothing works this is a tad annoying but i really want to try citrus perl

      Hi, Sorry for the annoyance - but there is a bug in Citrus Perl to do with setting the mingw path. If you can download mingw at all then there is nothing needed regarding Proxy settings (for Citrus just uses LWP directly so the usual env settings that affect LWP would work in this respect). In the Citrus Utils app refresh updates and you will find there is an update listed for the mingw path problem. Install it and then set the mingw path to the mingw you have previously downloaded.
