apaddobs has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

DBD ERROR: Can't match some parameters to LOB fields in the table, check type and name DBD::Oracle::st execute failed: ORA-04043: object family_records doesn't exist. There are 3 blob datatypes in the table.
my $st = "insert into family_records (name,dadname,momname,myhisto ry,mom history,dadhistory) values (:name,:dadname,:momname,:myhistory ,:momhistory,:dadhistory)"; $stmt = $dbh->prepare($st); $stmt->bind_param(":name", $name); $stmt->bind_param(":dadname", $dadname); $stmt->bind_param(":momname", $momname); $stmt->bind_param(":myhistory", "$myhistory", {ora_type => 113, or a_field =>"MYHISTORY" }); $stmt->bind_param(":dadhistory", "$dadhistory", {ora_type => 113, ora_field =>"DADHISTORY" }); $stmt->bind_param(":momhistory", "$momhistory", {ora_type => 113, ora_field =>"MOMHISTORY" }); $dbh->commit(); $stmt->finish(); $dbh->disconnect();
SQL> desc family_records Name Null? Type ----------------------------------------- NAME VARCHAR2(100) DADNAME VARCHAR2(100) MOMNAME VARCHAR2(100) MYHISTORY BLOB MOMHISTORY BLOB DADHISTORY BLOB
I do have the privileges to update/insert/modify the table. So there are no privileges issue.

    In your insert the column mom history has a space in it. Did you mean "mom history" or "momhistory" like the "dadhistory" and "myhistory".
