in reply to XML::Twig basic handlers

How do you write basic start_element, character, end_element handler events in XML::Twig similar to how it is done in XML::Parser

you don't, twig takes care of that for you, you process documents by branches(twigs), not by start-tag-handler/char-handler/end-tag-handler

But if you insist, see start_tag_handlers/char_handler/end_tag_handlers

See twig start_tag_handlers, "by Anonymous Monk" twig start_tag_handlers, ?node_id=3989;BIT=use%20XML%3A%3ATwig;BIS=-;a=%5BAnonymous%20Monk%5D;xr=1,,
