Thanks to your explanation, I understand "strict refs" allows the following:
Your code shows how we avoid throwing exceptions. I think, however, it's still unclear why defined/undef &{ 'run' } doesn't throw exceptions while "strict refs".my $runable = \&{ 'run' }; &$runable;
