derekstucki has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

I have a bunch of PDF forms that I need to fill in information on from a database. I've figured out how to use PDF::API2 to open an existing PDF, but I can't seem to write on top of existing pages, only add new pages that I can write to. Any help? Edit: Found my own answer. $pdf->openpage( $page );

    I use CAM::PDF for this. It allows me to input data from my MySQL database into the forms of existing PDF files.

    I’m glad that you “found your answer,” but would you please be obliged to elaborate?   Please post a “closing comment” in which you describe in more detail what you were trying to do, and then how openpage() solved it for you.

    In months and years to come, many other people will encounter this very thread, and they will be very grateful if you have provided to them a complete “voice of experience” description of your their problem, and of exactly how you solved they can quickly solve it.
