excel and win32 ole

sumit07 has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

hello perl monks when i try to save a excel file after adding its custom documents it shows a promt dialig asking if i want to save it or not. but i want to save the file silently in the background. can you help me i try this
my $Book = $Excel->Workbooks->Open('Book1.xls') $Book->{Saved}=0; $Book->Close(); $Excel->Quit();

    You should look at Excel::Writer::XLSX. I use it for all of my Excel writing needs. Unless you need Excel to process information in a formula as part of your work, this is a much better method...
