The problem is that the internet on my machine is password protected so it cannot get to the download.

The FAQ has information on how to inform/configure perlapp/ppm to use your proxy/password

Thank you for the links. I have tried several variable inputs in the System Properties - Environment Variables. With the input http://userID:password@ppm4.activestate.com/ap_index.txt:500 I get the following error in PerlApp ==E==http://ppm4.activestate.com/ap_index.txt: 500 Can't connect to ppm4.activestate.com:80 (connect: timeout)	[reply]
