The thing i fear most about going too far back in time is:

• There might be a language barrier
• No toilet/toilet paper
• No cold beer
• Being labeled a heretic
• Unwittingly becoming my own ancestor
• Missing necessary tools
• I'd have no family.
• I hate reruns

This idea is very similar to Re: poll ideas quest 2012 (What will you miss the most in a post-apocalyptic world?), which, incidentally, got turned to a poll somewhat after you have posted this idea: What would you miss the most in a post-apocalyptic world?.
