Expat installation

gvinu4u has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Hi, all I'm trying to install XML::Praser but I encounter the below error,
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status dmake.exe: Error code 129, while making '..\blib\arch\auto\XML\Parser +\Expat\Expat.dll' dmake.exe: Error code 255, while making 'subdirs'
Please help me as how to get ride of this issue, I have Perl 5.14 installed and also tried insatling http://sourceforge.net/projects/expat/files/latest/download Thanks VinodG

    Did you install the expat libraries and developer files, and did you configure the XML::Parser Makefile.PL to find these libraries?

    The error happened further up. Please post the complete console session when you run dmake, or, if you don't do that, post the complete CPAN session.

    The easy way would be to install the PPM for XML::Parser.
