The time involved varies based on how busy it is. For me, the
time from uploading to PAUSE to transfer too CPAN is usually
quick---a matter of say a few minutes to a half hour. Once it has been thoroughly processed, you'll probably see it on CPAN,
but it won't be downloadable for approximately one day, sometimes more. If your module isn't downloadable from CPAN
after three days, you could get back on PAUSE and check its
One thing that you should definitely do before you release
the modules to CPAN is to do a RFC: "Request for Comments"
here at perlmonks. The RFC should be entered in the Meditations section. The response time is quick, and I'd
suggest battening-down the hatches and don some battlegear
