( #3333=superdoc: print w/replies, xml ) Need Help??

I hand it out to all my friends and pretty much anyone who /msgs me.

I have almost trained my friends to the point that they will not forward crap indiscriminately. I have had to abandon one of my favourite email addresses do to an incident similar to what you say, but almost everyone thesedays knows about posting mail where spammers can get to it.

What really bemuses me is that I use this address to post to my local Linux user group (which gets web archived) and I still don't get spam. They must use some pretty heavy-duty anti-spam software.

I didn't believe in evil until I dated it.

Use:  <p> text here (a paragraph) </p>
and:  <code> code here </code>
to format your post; it's "PerlMonks-approved HTML":

  • Posts are HTML formatted. Put <p> </p> tags around your paragraphs. Put <code> </code> tags around your code and data!
  • Titles consisting of a single word are discouraged, and in most cases are disallowed outright.
  • Read Where should I post X? if you're not absolutely sure you're posting in the right place.
  • Please read these before you post! —
  • Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags:
    a, abbr, b, big, blockquote, br, caption, center, col, colgroup, dd, del, div, dl, dt, em, font, h1, h2, h3, h4, h5, h6, hr, i, ins, li, ol, p, pre, readmore, small, span, spoiler, strike, strong, sub, sup, table, tbody, td, tfoot, th, thead, tr, tt, u, ul, wbr
  • You may need to use entities for some characters, as follows. (Exception: Within code tags, you can put the characters literally.)
            For:     Use:
    & &amp;
    < &lt;
    > &gt;
    [ &#91;
    ] &#93;

    [Your Mother]: There are tons of good movies from all over but for every gem there is a pile of dirt 10 meters high burying it.
    [LanX]: well
    [LanX]: who's Jamie Earl?
    [Your Mother]: Also: I am old and complaining is my hobby.
    [LanX]: BTW: have you ever seen Network?
    [Your Mother]: Sorry: Jackie Earle Haley
    [Eily]: Sturgeon's law Your Mother?
    [Your Mother]: Network, the 70's movie? Yes. Wonderful. Though it's been 20 years. Time to do it again.
    [Your Mother]: I miss the Sci-Fi authors of that era quite a lot...
    [LanX]: Network (1976 film) yeah
