( [id://3333]=superdoc: print w/replies, xml ) Need Help??
How about better equipment? Can any of us say they couldn't use another server, or a more powerful desktop machine? Me, I'm not asking for an additional 2 gigahertz machine so I can play Unreal at work. I wouldn't say no to:
  • A more powerful Irix server for automated acceptance testing
  • A Linux box on my desk that I could use for development without having it double as a server
  • An extra hard drive for my Windows box so I could make it dual boot, and hence spend less time sitting in a cold lab doing client testing.
No kidding, I actually dug a 10 gig drive out of my closet to donate to the company because I couldn't get $10 allocated to buy a bigger hard drive for one of the server. God help me when my video card dies.

Title:
Use:  <p> text here (a paragraph) </p>
and:  <code> code here </code>
to format your post; it's "PerlMonks-approved HTML":

  • Are you posting in the right place? Check out Where do I post X? to know for sure.
  • Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
    <code> <a> <b> <big> <blockquote> <br /> <dd> <dl> <dt> <em> <font> <h1> <h2> <h3> <h4> <h5> <h6> <hr /> <i> <li> <nbsp> <ol> <p> <small> <strike> <strong> <table> <td> <th> <tr> <tt> <u> <ul>
  • Snippets of code should be wrapped in <code> tags not <pre> tags. In fact, <pre> tags should generally be avoided. If they must be used, extreme care should be taken to ensure that their contents do not have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor intervention).
