How about Perl6
?! Before Perl5, we had Perl4. Who really know Perl, know that from 4 to 5 we have a "new" language. We are just following what was done before.
Note that Perl6 will be done after test a lot of ideas and theories that was used in the last 10 years! Today we know what the best choices to do.
Other thing, since Perl6 will run over Parrot, and to do that we need to convert our Perl6 code to Parrot assembly. Why not make a converter from Perl5 to Parrot assembly too?
And we are free to make an hybrid of Perl5 and Perl6 too! Perl5X (X from ex, ex from hexagon).
