I don't think Larry used strong words as "opposed". But he
has expressed that he thinks certification isn't useful.
However, that was about the language, Larry isn't looking
for an ISO or some other certification of the language.
His quote is something like "I will be certified before Perl is".

<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
