would like to read each line of the text in .bz2
You have to split the line(s) on your own using split.
The module allows to use an array for different raisins. See Re^3: Read bzip2 directly into array

<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
