On a side note, I don't agree with Tanktalus' touch-typing skills. According to touch-typing rules, if you have to type a shifted character with your left hand, you have to use the right shift (and vice versa). This would mean holding the right shift (with your right pinky), while typing the ~ with your left ring finger, and then switching shifts (which is almost never done) and typing > with the right ring finger.
Alternatively, you could hold the right shift and type > with the right middle finger.
