Several times now you've been advised to leave the system perl alone and install your own. Feel free to search for posts by people who have rendered their system unstable (or worse) by using the system perl. I suggest you spend time learning about perl (tutorials, http://learn.perl.org) and the underlying operating system. If you don't know what you're doing talk to a colleague or systems administrator. Asking for help is a lot easier than having to tell them you've broken a working system.
