    Nothing's wrong with CLI's, it's the the fact that some people have to type perl *complete_filename* that it was suppost to fix.

      /me makes a note never to joke on perlmonks again...

      RELAX! I thought it was easy enough to get windows to run perl when you double-click a script. I got it working fine on win98 back in the old days anyway. Something to do with an option in one of the menus (view?) and you could set the default action for various extensions.

        Yes, you can, but often the problem is that it opens a small window, runs the program, and closes it again before you can react or read any of the output.
