I had to curtail my Mt. Dew drinking habits as I was going through about 12 cans a day.
If I remember correctly, my caloric intake from sources other than the Dew was about 1000 per day, while the liquid intake was in the neighborhood of 2000 from the sugars.
Now, it's all about the Diet Dew. Four 2 Liter bottles a day...
