Did you see two links at the bottom of the Chatterbox? Clicking "How do I use this?" will lead you to the Chatterbox FAQ, which has links to several solutions, including last hour of cb.

but dont you think that we should have some recent messages available there only
will we lose anything (bandwidth issue) if we do so?
it will be more user friendly
if someone is new to perlmonks then he/she requires efforts to do certain tasks like this.
please dont take it as i am againt this forum, i personally love this forum except for its user non-friendlyness at some places

I'm not sure what you're suggesting, just keeping the most recent n messages displaed at all times? There are other methods for accesing the CB, see Other CB Clients which is directly under the 'talk' button for a list of alternatives. Cbstream: a chatterbox to irc bridge is a fairly popular method of accessing the CB I believe.
