Could you not just set the variable up in the users environment and leave it there all the time?

Then you don't have to worry about it.

You could, but if you can do that, you can fix it properly :) Should I set LD_LIBRARY_PATH?, Why LD_LIBRARY_PATH is bad	[reply]
