What is sad is that this post will probably put me over the top for Pontiff. I would much rather have worked out some reflective post for Meditations rather than bringing up a point of order.

I'm wondering how front-paging works now. Early this morning I front paged A Peruvian Congressman counters MS FUD and yet it never appeared at The Monastery Gates. I realize that someone had considered deleting the node as it was not Perl specific, but it was posted in Meditations and it is wonderful ammo for those of us who pursue Open Source advocacy on our jobs and in our Community. It's ++45 rating (currently) even though it is not on the front page reflects how many others find this article highly relevant.

I don't front page nodes often. In fact I only recall front paging 3 or 4 nodes. If clicking front page doesn't front page a node what other hoops/powers are required?

If you check Node 16889 It comments that there is a 3 minute delay between frontpaging a node and it actualy appearing there.

Looks like it's on The Monastery Gates now. From what I can tell, these things take a lil' bit of time.
