in reply to I most recently did it in the...

I try to kill people in the kitchen with the knife.

I always called my character 'Dr. Scarlet.' It annoyed me that the men got to be 'Professor (Plum)' and the women were all 'Mrs.' or 'Miss.'

Well, there was "Mr. Green" there, so at least one man was without fancy title, and the erstwhile deceased, "Mr. Body", but the other man is "Colonel Mustard", and the women are Miss Scarlet, Mrs. White and Mrs. Peacock, IIRC. So it appears that you have a point there. Gender bias in classic board game! We'll have to get Parker Brothers on a recall campaign...

Of course "Miss Scarlet" always gets to go first, though, and for all his education, the stately Professor Plum always goes last.

Being Professor Plum in Clue gives you several advantages early in the game with Clue. Besides seeing accusations by almost all the other players, Professor Plum also has a good chance to be moved to room, removing the randomness that he won't be able to make an accusation in the second turn.
