I thought there was a pretty trivial way to do this using the DateTime suite, but I'm not finding the recipe.

Business::Hours::add_seconds should work, though.

I'm not sure whats wanted, but these look like helpful Business::DateTime, DateTime::Fiscal::Year, DateTime::BusinessHours

Thanks, Business::DateTime is what I had been thinking of. DateTime::Fiscal::Year doesn't really apply, and DateTime::BusinessHours solves the opposite problem (how long in business time between two datetimes).
