If you need world class Perl training or consulting, drop me a line at ovid@allaroundtheworld.fr. Some companies just bring me in for motivational talks, too. Let me know what you need.

I've written the popular book Beginning Perl, focused on learning the Perl skills companies need. I'm also one of the authors of Perl Hacks.

I sit on the Board of Directors of the Perl Foundation, wrote the Test::Harness module that ships with Perl and am the author of many popular modules and have commit rights to most of the Perl testing toolchain.

Any original code I post on Perlmonks, unless otherwise noted, is public domain. I offer no warranties and I assume no responsibility for any problems with its use.

My CPAN directory.

I am now writing for TechBeacon.

I keep a professional journal at blogs.perl.org and a "how to become an expat" journal at Overseas Exile.

If you're curious about the name "Ovid", it's from Publius Ovidius Naso, better known as Ovid. He's one of my favorite poets and the translations by Peter Greene are incredible.
