Probably the most damning thing for Perl, are threads like this bemoaning the "problems" in very non-specific ways, but offering no solutions.

This total lack of even direction, never mind a plan, on a "premier perl website" is all the ammunition needed to make the case for Perl's (protracted) demise.

Is there anything positive to come out of this thread and its like?
