G'day kdgman, Welcome to the monastery. "I tried to install version 5.14.2 with perlbrew and it wouldn't work ..." Take a look at the "App::perlbrew - Compiling Perl with thread support" thread. It covers 5.14.2 and was tested on Mac OS X. [For future reference, posting things like "it wouldn't work" and not providing any details of what you did and the results you got, are not well received.
