Re^5: Win32::API in perl v5.20.2

so intermittent 403?

Well ... I can download the tarballs from my browser, but LWP::Simple and LWP::UserAgent are incapable of grabbing then (403 error).
Is anyone else able to download (eg) http://www.sisyphusion.tk/ppm/x86/Device-USB-516.tar.gz using the browser ? (Or is it just me ?)
Is anyone else able, perchance, to download that same file using LWP::UserAgent or LWP::Simple ?

Quick test, works for me via the browser and fails with a 403 via LWP::Simple. Update: Are you using a blocklist? LWP::Simple::get($url) does not work for some urls Update 2: yeah, setting `$ua->agent("WikiBot/0.1");` works.	[reply] [d/l]

Same result here. wget works. Looks like some server-side abuse filter, perhaps because some asshole has run a DoS tool based on LWP against that site. Alexander -- Today I will gladly share my knowledge and experience, for there are no sweeter words than "I told you so". ;-)	[reply]

Thanks for the sanity checks marto, afoken. I'll contact the organisation (greengeeks) that's hosting the site and see if they can shed some light on the matter. I haven't done anything or initiated any action that accounts for the changed behaviour. Cheers, Rob	[reply]
