Fine grained "a day ago" or "a week ago"

Request for new clicky-availability...

When pointing at the arrows << and <, its a week ago and a day ago respective. We need something more updated than that. I do not have a solution, so this is a throw-out for discussion.

This is, I suppose, a formal (public) application to become a pmdev, so I may become part of the team that can see what is happening, and potentially be part of new ideas.

Done. Thank you for volunteering! I'll caution, you, though, that the relevant code node, handle_threaded_nodes, is a very complicated mess, the evil handiwork of one of my predecessors, demerphq, and probably the stereotype of code which underlies this site's reputation for being difficult to maintain. After you beat your head against it for a while, you might decide to write a new view from scratch.

I stand ready to mentor you as you tread el camino del diavolo.

I reckon we are the only monastery ever to have a dungeon stuffed with 16,000 zombies.

      Thank you jdporter!

I've loaded the PMDev nodelet, and will read through all the information within. If I have any questions, I'll reach out via msg.

      Cheers,

      -stevieb

Personally I used this feature so seldom (practically never) and found it so irritating that I hid it by personal CSS.

(I also used some JS in a nodelet hack to fold other rarely used stuff away to be able to expand it only on demand)

This way for me the design become clearer and better usable with mobiles.

    YMMV

    Cheers Rolf
