Sorry, but you hit my pet peeve here :) I studied orchestral percussion for years, and spent many hours on triangle technique *alone*. Trust me - there's a great difference between *hitting* a triangle and *playing* it. One goes *clang*, the other goes *ding* (or *ting* or *ping* or *schwiingg*, depending on where it's struck).
