in reply to Daily Perl Tips....

I don't know if it was just me or what, but I felt a little short changed on the email. I subscribed, received 2 or 3 emails in the interim telling me they were getting started, there would be some great things, but felt this was a little toooo begginner for a tip, guess I was just expecting something like an entry-level cookbook recipe or something like that.

It was a little bland considering they had several months to think it up. However, I do like the idea.... I just hope the "tips" get more clever.

Yes, the perl tips will get better. There has been much discussion about these among the beginners-workers list and great tips are forthcoming.

As with most things, it just takes a little time to work out the details and implement them.

[tye]: I get an error string but no reason and no context. Like die "Could not read file.\n" but with a stack trace where all of the useful context is stripped.
