I've found two, but they are my fault.
One way was to call an ioctl function with too short input buffer, but then perl printed a nice warning about this and dumped core only after that. (This one was because I wrote 8092 instead 256*32, I must admit that perl can multiply better than me). The other was by calling the regexp engine inside a /(?{CODE})/ construct.
