in reply to Perl(Hello World)

Be you pronounced "Chah-Cham",
as in perhaps, "sha-zam"?
To you then sir or ma'am,
Hearty applause, hot damn!

I thank you h, for your reply,
May you code on, and never die(),
To voice my name, (i won't ask why),
Think "kh", which you can try.

Amongst the things that can be had,
There are those things that taste too bad,
And in disgust, but not too mad,
We say "(y)uuuchhhh!", but not too sad.

That "uch" does not rhyme with duck,
Because then it would be spelled like "yuck",
Nor does it sound like such,
As then it would not add too much.

Of that "ch", and this is key,
Think of "ich", the German "me",
The easiest example, i can see,
(If there is easier, what can it be?)

    Now pronounce that "a" a doctor's "ah",
Of course that makes the syllable "cha",
Now say it twice, but like (the Indian) "tawa",
    Surprisingly like saying "tada".

That is the ultimate syllable has stress,
But on the end as you may guess,
That simple "m", you must impress,
And after that you can digress.

      What a splendid conversation
      Where differences rate no mention
      Gentile maybe is old hat
But it's none the worse for that

No axe to grind or ire to raise
What a refreshing change of pace
A waste of cycles? May be to some
But then, perhaps, they're just glumb

To raise no hackles, nor raucous laugh
No feeding the trolls "on our behalf"
You grew a smile upon my face
I welcome you to this place

May your demeanour rub off on me
To step outside of me and see
      the bigger picture; all around
To smile, where once I frowned

      Who gives a monkey's if I misspell
If the question's less Perl; more SQL

T'is no obligation; but a pleasure to give

Pure distraction; no purpose in mind
Your posts are a pleasure of the purest kind.
For the simple smile you brought to my day
I hope "Thank you" is all I need say

      The start of some sanity?

        misspell/SQL

        1. se-quell
        2. Mispeakwell
        3. ess queue ell

3 didn't even come up in mind. Between 1 and 2, i like 2. It is a "rhymization" based on faulty "pronounciation." :^P

While your discussion, free and pure,
nice poetry, it is for sure,
        my PerlMonks::parser, very sadly,
makes my head throb very badly.

Hmm, seems i should really have listened to my teachers and read more of those classics...
