Bio 2023
These days I'm a DNS, DHCP, and IPAM (IP Address Management) Engineer and Architect, with expertise with Infoblox/NIOS. Sadly, I've mostly moved on to Python, but dang do I miss The Monastery!!

I still dabble in 3D graphics, mainly using DAZ Studio Pro with the built-in IRAY renderer. I listen to a lot of audio books, with Brandon Sanderson being my favorite author, though Fonda Lee's Jadebone Saga (Jade City, etc.) was impressive, and Steven Ericksen's Malazan Book of the Fallen is some of the best fantasy ever written. I mainly play video games on my PS5 these days, though I picked up an Xbox Series X for casual Flight Simulator fun plus anticipating Starfield's release (btw, Prey 2017 runs great on the Series X). Also, I'm up in rural New York now, helping to take care of my mother and sister.

Bio(old)
I'm a Systems Engineer working mostly on Linux and Solaris and every now and then Windows and AIX. I'm the administrator for our NetScout PM appliances, Citrix XenApp for UNIX (a.k.a. MetaFrame for UNIX), and our SUN Rays.

I also dabble in computer art. For 3D I mostly using DAZ Studio Advanced + Reality/Luxrender, and Bryce and occasionally use Poser Pro 2010, Carrara 8 Pro (mainly for the Architools plug-in), and Vue. For postwork and 2D in general I use Photoshop and Painter 11. You can see a lot of my artwork on my devaintART website.

I used to play Guild Wars but not so much anymore and a local friend of mine and I usually have some multi-player gaming going on (such as Titan Quest or Left 4 Dead). These days I play games on my PlayStation 3 more than on the PC (Heavy Rain was excellent, btw). I still read some Fantasy such as The Wheel of Time, Lord of the Rings, and DragonLance and I play some pencil-and-paper role-playing games such as FAST (huge fan of this game system), Heroes of Rokugan, 7th Sea (not anymore, but I miss it), and Call of Cthluhu.

These days I spend a lot of time watching Anime. Some favorites include Fruits Basket, Trinity Blood, The Twelve Kingdoms, El Cazador, Noir, Madlax, Planetes, Angelic Layer, Full Metal Panic!, Ghost in the Shell, and anything by Makato Shinkai. Though it's getting harder to find good Anime these days.

This image was created using Poser, Bryce, Painter, and Photoshop (roughly in that order). Now that I'm getting back into 3D graphics, I may get around to making a new avatar (but don't hold your breath).
