Anonymous Monk has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Hello Dear Monks,

I am a Degree student and I have been given a project to automate the Google keyword tool to download the keywords as CSV. This has to be done in "pureperl". I don't even know whether it is possible or not. I hav a little knowledge in writing automated scripts using Mechanize, but don't even know whether this is possible. It seems hard. Can anyone pls tell me whether it is possible or anyone done this before? Thank you Monks.

You can surely do such things via the Google Adwords API. Note that this is not free, however

Trying to roll your own automation through Mechanize is not a good idea and is almost surely against the terms of use, as others have pointed out.

Ask google, they will tell you if you are allowed and if it is possible
ohh Man, I don't have their mail id... do you have???

I'd expect a degree student to be able to do some research on their own, I'm sure you'd find it was against their Terms and Conditions of use to automate this had you bothered to do any. Finding a way to contact them is hardly taxing.
